Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress from the United States. Her most well-known work is her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick earned an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The seventh season of the show was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick declares herself Jewish, and she has stated that she is a participant at Passover seders.
