Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC was born on March 4 1954. O'Hara has won several awards which include the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was elected to the rank of an Officer of Canada. She was also presented with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara became famous as an actress when she was a part of 1974 of The Second City, an Improvisational comedy troupe based out of Toronto. Together with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd she was part of the main ensemble of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd started work in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara received praise for her comic acting and writing abilities and was awarded an Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for a Variety Series in 1982. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the brand-new Second City artistic advisory board led by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
